If there has been one consistency over the eras and generations of baseball in America, it has been drugs. Drugs have been a part of baseball. Drugs have been used in many different ways, over time, for baseball players. Anyone who has studied the game knows of this, and has lived with the culture.

While there is always surprise, or disappointment, or anger, there really shouldn't be. History will always teach us the ways of the future, and for baseball to be any different is the real disappointment.

Babe will always be Babe. Mickey will always be Mickey. Manny will always be Manny. All we want is a nice summer day, and the crack of the bat.
